Some People are Just Born Lucky!

A few weeks ago we attended a builder's supply show at Bennett Supply Company in Cheswick. It's an annual show they put on to showcase the latest and greatest in building supplies. If any of you are wondering, no, we are not building a house. For those of you that don't know, Curtis sells building supplies to contractors and builders. Anyway, I had talked a little about the show here. When you enter the show they give you a bag with a few goodies in it. Also in the bag are two tickets for you to enter for the 5 door prizes. Two years ago Curtis won the 19 inch flat screen television with dvd player. This year they had another tv, a patio set, $400 worth of certificates to local restaurants, a Wii game system and I can't remember the other. I'm sure you can tell by the picture that Miss Allison won the Wii Game System! Whooo Hooo! She's such a lucky duck! The prize package consisted of the Wii Game System, an extra remote and 9 extra games. We are SO excited! She had played one at Aunt Marsha and Uncle Ron's over Christmas and loved it. I tossed around the idea of buying one but we don't buy those big of gifts for her birthday or Christmas. It's not the message we want to send to her. I'm sure one day, we'll be buying big gifts for her but right now, we don't want her birthday or Christmas to be about what she gets. Anyway. I also thought about buying one lately when I saw them in an ad. Imagine our surprise when Mr. Bennett called Curtis on Monday. I can't begin to tell you how thrilled she is! We told her on Tuesday night before dinner. When I told her that she won, she looked over at her Dad and said "Is this real?" She kept questioning it throughout the night if in fact that she really did win. Too funny! She also told us that she prayed that she would win it and that's why she won it. I'm glad she sees that prayer works.The sales rep from Bennett delivered it to Curtis yesterday and as you can see by the picture, her smile can't get any bigger! On a side note here...This isn't the first time she has won something. My sister, Alesia, takes us to her company picnic every year. The first two years Allison won a door prize there too! I guess Allison and Curtis are just lucky people. She won those three things, he won the tv and they both won ME! Wink! Wink!
